I’m Taiwanese and tbh this place isn’t the most authentic, but it totally has those Taiwanese food vibes (everything looks pretty plain but packs a lot of flavor, and those sweet and savory dishes). I really enjoyed everything and would for sure come back! Special shoutout to the fu-ru fried chicken—so good

Everything was so good. The wait was not super long when we got here at 8pm on a Friday night. They even let us order some drinks and wait in the waiting area with fire pits. Food was phenomenal, even as simple as the yam leaves stir fry. I'll come back!

The food, the ambiance, the service and the plates were are top notch. They had an amazing selection of beers and sake. We opted for non alcoholic beverages and the teas and drinks were very good. I was especially happy with the special of the day which was tempura with fennel, radish and nardello peppers. The dessert needed work and was not to the level of the savory dishes.

We found this Taiwanese restaurant and decided to give it a try. We had the Lu Rou Fan, Taiwanese Sesame Noodles, and the Whole Squid "Yi-Ye-Gan" (一夜干). The Lu Rou Fan, braised pork over rice, was alright. But I preferred a richer, stickier texture from slow-cooked pork skin collagen. The Taiwanese Sesame Noodles tasted good, it has a really well-balanced flavor between sesame sauce and Sichuan peppercorn and chili, but it leaned slightly towards the sweeter taste. The standout of the meal was Whole Squid "Yi-Ye-Gan", it grilled to a perfect texture, and the flavor was on point. Highly recommended! Overall, I feel their classic Taiwanese dishes are enjoyable, but the restaurant leans more toward a fusion and fine dining style, which is a bit pricey in my opinion, and doesn't quite capture the feel of home-cooked style.

Food: High quality Taiwanese dishes that are hard to find elsewhere in the East Bay. Some dishes felt too small given the price and what they were (e.g. noodles). We didn't over order, but were on the threshold of still feeling somewhat hungry. Service: There could be improvements to the efficiency of the seating service. We waited close to half hour to get seated even though there were a lot of open tables. Once seated the service and speed at which the food came was good.

Don't miss it on this place if you are in the area. AND don't skip the desert. Best cheese cake ever. Very friendly service and energetic atmosphere.
